Q: What items can't I store?

A list of the items you can't store are found here . If you have any questions about these items please feel free to call us and our staff will be happy to chat through the items you require storing. Some items are also not covered by StoreProtect, have limited coverage or have an excess amount on them. Details of those items excluded can be found here.

Q: Is there somewhere to dispose of waste?

No, we do not offer waste disposal services. You are responsible for removing your own waste.

Q: Are there vehicle restrictions?

Yes. For safety reasons, at our internal sites we have a maximum permitted vehicle size of 7.5T vehicles. At our external sites, the maximum permitted size of vehicles is 3.5T and below.

Q: What should I do in the event of an emergency?

Please dial 999, if a fire or suspected break-in. Please also call our emergency number 01278 269964

Q: Do the rooms have lighting?

Many of our rooms 250sqft and above have lighting. Rooms below 250sqft can have lighting fitted at an agreed cost and on a case by case basis if essential. All of our sites have adequate hallway and external lighting.

Q: What do I need to do if I plan to use my own insurance?

Ensure that your policy provides the same level of cover as ours. We will require a letter from your insurance provider detailing the UK Storage Company address for the site you are storing in, the value of goods being stored, and confirming what value of cover is provided for your goods. The provided document must also be both valid and up to date.
