At UK Storage Wigan we offer self storage for residential and business customers. We take care of your goods while you’re off doing something more exciting! We offer friendly, flexible storage so if you’re storing long term or short term we can help. 

We have customers needing extra space for all sorts of reasons.

Furniture Storage

Households clearing out rooms ready to decorate or making space for a new arrival – whether that’s a relative for a short period of time or a more long term commitment of a new baby!

We often have customer use us doing a house move, especially when there is a gap between moving out of one house and moving in to the next one. We can often have both sides of the transaction using us as well as people storing while they move back in with Mum and Dad – then they like to come down to our facility to get away from it all!

We are based on the Wigan Trade Park next door to Screwfix. As you head in to Wigan from Hindley we are on the left hand side opposite Dean Trust Rose Bridge in Ince-in-Makerfield. We are used by customers right across Wigan, from Pemberton and Winstanley to Hindley and Scholes.

You can get your price, book and check-in online any time of day or night and start using your storage straight away. There’s no need to wait for us to be open, you can do everything online.

Extended Hours or 24 Hour Access:

You have free access seven days a week and should you need long hours, there is even a twenty four hour option. You come and go as you please with no need to book appointments to access your goods. Our staff are available seven days a week too so if you have a query we’re always on hand. If you want to start using your storage at an unusual time, that’s fine too. You can start using your storage at 3am if you like. Book your room and check in online today.

We offer a specialised protection plan designed exclusively for self storage. This enhanced liability protection covers a wider range of risks than a standard household insurance and provides extra security for your valuable belongings should the unexpected occur. Your coverage remains valid while your items are stored inside your designated unit.

Please note: the policy does not cover loading, unloading, or transit periods. As this insurance is separate from your household policy, any claim will not impact your home insurance premium or any no-claims discount you’ve earned.

We work hard to offer you high-quality storage and to make sure your goods are looked after. However, we know everyone is working to a budget, so we monitor prices locally and make sure our prices are competitive. See our Terms and Conditions for our UK Storage Price Promise.

Your unit is secured by a special high security lock, with you holding all three keys – we do not have access to your goods. Access to the building is via a pin pad using your own unique code. All tracked by high definition recorded CCTV with cameras throughout the Wigan self storage facility. Our monitoring software shows who has come in and out of the building, tracking all movements.

Our storage units are bright, secure and dry. Being inside a modern building it means your goods will come out the same way they went in. Whether you are storing your worldly possessions or business stock you want to know they will be looked after – we have the facility for you.

Commercial Storage

Businesses store stock, marketing materials and valuable items such as tools and equipment. Self storage is a great solution for firms wanting extra space without having to commit to a warehouse. We have florists store around Valentines Day and Mothers Day, retail companies taking extra space around Christmas and the Easter Bunny storing eggs (but don’t tell anyone!).

We have many different sized storage units, allowing you to change room size whenever needed. So if you need to add more to your storage unit or if you want to downsize after moving some of you items out we can sort that for you.
