UK Storage Reflects on Successful Partnership with The Nelson Trust

Partnership Helped Deliver Lifeline Support to Women in Crisis

UK Storage has successfully completed a year-long partnership with The Nelson Trust, providing a 120 sq.ft storage unit to support women in need across the South West.

The initiative supported The Nelson Trust’s Women’s Community Services, which operate across Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Bristol and Wales. The donated storage space enabled the charity to securely store essential items, donations and personal belongings for women facing homelessness, domestic abuse, substance misuse and other complex challenges.

During the partnership, the storage unit played a vital role in helping women at critical points in their lives — including those fleeing unsafe situations and setting up new homes.

Although The Nelson Trust has now vacated the unit, the collaboration has had a meaningful and lasting impact within the community.

We are hugely thankful for this opportunity because we’ve been able to safely store essential belongings for women at some of the most vulnerable moments in their lives, such as fleeing domestic abuse. 

Your generosity has made a real and lasting difference, allowing us to provide practical support when it is needed most. It has given us the ability to store belongings when women are setting up new homes, often after incredibly difficult circumstances. For many, this has been part of a fresh start whether moving into safe accommodation locally or rebuilding their lives elsewhere.
