Our storage in Redruth offers you the opportunity to store at a purpose built facility with all our rooms on the ground floor. Based on the corner of the A3047 and Cardrew Way, the site offers easy access to Truro, Redruth and surrounding areas in Cornwall. The storage units have background heating, keeping your items safe through all seasons.
When you’re moving house and waiting for the solicitor or bank to get things moving it can be very frustrating and also unpredictable. We only require 14 days notice for you to move out allowing you plenty of time to notify us after work out your plans. We also allow you to reserve a storage unit so that you know there is a space ready for you when you come to need it. You can reserve your space up to eight weeks in advance without giving us a firm date. You can cancel your reservation without penalty at any point.
Our Redruth storage units are specially designed for soft furnishings and electrical goods. The floor, door, wall and ceilings are all well insulated with clever ventilation allowing airflow without allowing water in. There is more insulation on our rooms than a normal warehouse, caravan or mobile home – with background heating they may seem very homely but sadly you or your pets can’t live in them!
Our self storage in Redruth is mainly used by members of the public storing household items. Whether this is sofas, mattresses and other soft furnishings or electrical items such as white goods and LCD TVs. You can store them all with us. We recommend you cover your soft furnishings with a furniture cover, this is mainly to protect it during transit. It’s important to stop your items going in to your unit wet and obviously you don’t want to be resting your mattress on the floor when you’re moving it. Our rooms are water tight, nothing can get on to your items once they are in your rented space. The reverse also applies, if they go in wet, they will stay wet. That’s why it’s important to drain washing machines and make sure fridges and freezers are fully defrosted.
We offer short or long term storage in Redruth, you just keep storing as long as you like until you give us notice to leave.

With the twenty four hour access (mentioned above) you can access your unit whenever you want. You can check in online ahead of time so you can book that removals company any time you want. If you are having someone else do the moving for you, you don’t even need to come down to site – we process everything online beforehand.
We have the facility to offer you twenty four hour entry to the site and to your goods. This is where our investment in an advanced security gate comes in. You can choose whether or not you would like 24/7 access or extended hours access, and there is just a small fee for this. The extra entry hours can be added at any time in four weekly blocks. Normal, free access is 7 days a week. Movements in and out of the site are monitored by the gate software as well as the recorded CCTV.

We offer a specialised protection plan designed exclusively for self storage. This enhanced liability protection covers a wider range of risks than a standard household insurance and provides extra security for your valuable belongings should the unexpected occur. The self storage in Cornwall is surrounded by a security fence with our customers accessing the facility using the security gate with their own unique gate code. The first point of security starts at your door with an unpickable lock that only you have keys to – we do not have access to your goods. Digital security cameras throughout the site record movements which are monitored by head office.
We have a range of sizes that suit our business customers, with large storage units having double doors to make getting your goods in and out really easy. Self storage is a great solution for companies looking to store short or long term on a flexible basis. With only 14 days notice required to vacate your room and no notice required to increase or decrease your size. Your bill includes everything, lighting, business rates, all your overheads clear and easy to manage. Need multiple units across multiple sites? We can even put them all on one invoice should you require.
When storing with us, if you fill your self storage unit and decide you need more space you can change your room size up or down at any time (subject to availability of course). You can also take on an additional room – they don’t both have to be for the same period of time. Some people take a small space to declutter and sell their home and then an additional large room to accommodate their whole house contents when the sale has gone through. Other people use a bigger area to sort through their items and sell some of their goods, then downsize to a smaller room for the long term.
If you turn up on the day you want to start using us and find you need more (or less) space then as long as we have availability you can take a different size room at that point.

We often have requests for smaller spaces from students and other folks wanting to store smaller items such as clothes, books and DVD’s. Often coming from Falmouth University, we have students storing over the summer so they don’t have to take all their items back home. It’s a lot quicker just to pop it up the road from Penryn or Falmouth and then grab the items again at the start of term.
We have spaces the same size as a small garden shed (30 square feet). This self storage unit is able to take a push bike, boxes, suitcases and/or smaller items of furniture such as an arm chair or a small two seater sofa. Electrical items such as flat screen TVs fit in fine. Alternatively some people share the space with a friend and go for a larger area instead.
